UTSA trained Mexican entrepreneurs

The auditorium building Buenavista, University of Texas at San Antonio Downtown campus was the site last Thursday of a major event organized by the Center for Mexico, the International Trade Center, the College of Business all of this prestigious house Study,and the Association of Mexican Entrepreneurs and Mexican Association of Centers for Small Business Development was attended by nearly a hundred businessmen and representatives of universities in Mexico in order to receive information and training concerning the establishment of business in the United States.
They designed a comprehensive program covering the topics required for the adequacy of the administrative decision to cross the border to establish a business abroad here in the U.S. and especially in San Antonio.
The reunion began with words of welcome by Dr. Harriet Romo, director of the UTSA Mexico Center, where he stressed the importance of taking advantage of the experiences of successful entrepreneurs and organizations of the three levels of government to pave the way for those newly entering the commercial life and business in this country, in similar terms highlighted this effort by the university to implement this training the Consul General of Mexico in San Antonio Armando Ortiz Rocha and Richard Perez, president of the Greater Chamber of Commerce of San Antonio who accompanied Dr. Romo in the opening session.
Here were the shares of experts touched on various topics of business development, immigration, legal and taxation, financing, the import and export, examples of successful businesses and a practical example of how to sell products in a company local, which invited to Ezequiel Esquinca from HEB company.
The Mexican Association of Centers for the Development of Small Business was responsible for the participation of businessmen and representatives from universities in Mexico that are interested in participating and promoting the benefits of establishing business in the United States. His director, Rosario Valencia, who is a prominent economist with extensive experience in public service and private initiative in Mexico, was an important task to motivate the Mexican visitors to participate in this reunion where she said: "This event fulfills our mission in partnership providing knowledge and methodologies to enable our members to develop their businesses and help further the economic development of both countries."
